Panama – PLEASE click this link and watch the video before reading the rest of this post!
Done watching? Yes? Really? Okay, thanks 🙂
“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” Romans 10:14-15
I’m really excited to share this video with you and give the opportunity to partner with me in sharing the Gospel wherever God calls. It’s been a huge blessing to become part of a local church during my 6 months in the Dominican Republic (about 3 more to go!). I’ve been attending small group Bible study/prayer on Wednesday nights, which has allowed me to get to know more members of the church. It’s a privilege to see their passion for the Lord and for sharing Christ with those in their communities; I’m encouraged by their faith. Since the first of the year, we’ve been talking on Wednesday nights about what the mission of the church is, and as we’ve looked at the mission statement, we’ve found 3 words to explain it simply: “Conocer. Glorificar. Multiplicar.” Or, “To know. To glorify. To multiply.” We want everyone in the church to know the Lord, to glorify Him with the way we live our lives, and to extend that glory by making disciples in Juan Dolio, the Dominican Republic, and ultimately, everywhere in the world. We want every man, woman, and child to have multiple opportunities to hear and respond to the Gospel. Part of fulfilling that mission is to reach out to the people in Los Conucos, one of the surrounding towns. Another part is to take a week-long mission trip to Panama. I’m truly so excited the Lord put it on my heart to join the team from the Juan Dolio church to be SENT to PREACH so others may HEAR and BELIEVE and CALL on the name of the Lord.
As I said in the video, I ask you to prayerfully consider supporting me financially as a partner in sharing the Gospel. If you would like to donate towards the trip, you can mail a check to my mom, or give it directly to her if you live close by/see her often 🙂 Please email or Facebook message me if you do not know my address. Please post comments on the blog if you have any other questions or need more information on how to give. Again, the cost of the trip is $750, and if by God’s goodness I am blessed with more than this amount, extra support will be given to others on the trip that need it or set aside for other needs/opportunities to give that might arise at Lily House or Juan Dolio church. If you have any questions about this, PLEASE contact me.
Another heartfelt thank you for everything you have and continue to do for me, spiritually and financially – truly, your encouragement, prayers, and support mean the world to me. I love you all!
