I just wanted to say that I’m alive and well in the Dominican! I feel like I’ve been going, going, going since I got back almost 3 weeks ago, but the Lord is continuing to show up and continuing to teach me.

Quick (VERY quick) updates:

-I’ve taken on the responsibility of being the staff person in charge at LH on the weekends. Please be praying as I continue to figure out the groove and think of creative things for us to do in our time off. Prayers are definitely felt and appreciated in this!

-I’ve been helping to fill in some gaps with financial things at LH as the person who used to help with this is now working with a different ministry. There have been some bumps in the road as the rest of us have tried to figure out what needs to be done, so prayers for patience and endurance in this area as we get things sorted out would be awesome.

-I started a Bible reading plan, to read through the Bible in a year. I’m almost through Genesis (while also reading Psalms/Proverbs and working through Matthew at the same time), and I feel like I’m learning a lot about the vastness of God’s redemption story throughout all time. I’m also glad I used up 27 pounds of weight in my suitcase to bring my Study Bible! (Okay, not 27 pounds, but at times it feels like it, haha).

-I won’t mention what the weather is like.

-I will try my hardest to ACTUALLY blog next week.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support, love, and prayers.

  1. What to do on the weekends?? How about VBS games? The scripture most stuck to my memory came from Sunday school games. The power of God’s word, stickers, competition, and candy!
